A Great Little Find
"Wonderful cosy cottage, it made an idyllic early Christmas break. The log burner was a lovely treat for this time of year, making the evenings in a real bonus. Centrally located, with everything in walking distance for shops and restaurants, with great walks starting right from the door step. Ambleside is pretty central to the Lakes and for Keswick, Grasmere and Windermere which were all easily reachable. This cottage was a great little find and one we recommend. Thank you". C Lewis.
"If you are planning an active weekend, quiet weekend or romantic weekend to enjoy the highlights of Ambleside and other Lakeside attractions...why not stay here! I have stayed at Milliners Cottage apartment many times and have never been disappointed. It is in a great central location and is very clean, tidy and value for money. It is fully equipped for your perfect stay! Go on give it a try :)" L Hartley.

Perfect For Exploring
"Stayed here with friends. The bed was extremely comfy. The central location of the cottage is perfect for exploring Ambleside by night. The owners are really friendly. If you want a really comfortable place to sleep in a lovely Lake District village then this is the place for you". Annie.
Will Book Again
Just wanted to say thanks for your hospitality we had a great break ... I am sure we will book again and see you again at some point. Many Thanks, P Davidson.
Spent a fabulous week in Ambleside! The accommodation was hidden behind an unassuming door beside the "Head to the Hills " shop but when you went up the stairs what a surprise! All was as described and so clean and welcoming. Plenty of room, a well kitted out kitchen and plenty of local information books and leaflets. The owners were very friendly and willing to offer advice on local walks etc if required. Centrally located in Ambleside with plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes and attractions 1 minutes walk away and for the rest of the Lake District. What more could you ask for? Jane & Steve.
Thank you, we had a fantastic time, still trying to sort through all my millions of photos I took lol ;0) Tracey
"Thank you, we enjoyed our time in the lakes and may be back some day. Regards", Colin & Vicki
Everything we could need
Dear Andrea & Pete
Just to say thanks for letting us stay at the apartment. It was perfect for my friend and I. Everything we could need and ideally situated.
We had some great walks from the doorstep which meant we only took the car out once. The week was crowned with a fantastic walk around the Fairfield Horseshoe on Wednesday. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend you to my friends should they need a base to stay.
So nice to be back
So nice to be back at the apartment. Everything spot on as usual, such a brill location so left the car parked up a couple of the days.
Couldn't have a better location, you have the bakery in the morning and take a way in the evening! See you again next year! Stella Pettifer
Homely and Welcoming
"Arrived Easter Saturday to be met by wonderful hosts/ owners Andrea and Pete.
Once we enter Milliners cottage we were pleasantly surprised at how homely and welcoming the Milliners is.
The area area is most definitely an area of Outstanding beauty and we would most definitely return.
Both Andrea and Pete have great local knowledge which they are very happy to share with you should you ask.
If you're looking at holidaying in the lakes, then look no further than the outstanding and peaceful area of Ambleside and Milliners Cottage.
Thanks to both for making our first of many trips to the lakes enjoyable". The Pyecroft Family.
Lovely, well equipped, nicely furnished accommodation. Although it is in the village and therefore handy for shops, restaurants, pubs etc, it is still very quiet in the evening when all the crowds have gone. The only thing that disturbed our sleep was an owl who serenaded us for about 10 minutes one night! Also the beautiful Rothay park is just a couple of minutes walk away. The owners, who are in the shop much of the time are helpful and charming;and you don't need to bring your car. All the buses stop just round the corner and they will take you not only to Windermere or Keswick but right in to Langdale or over Kirkstone Pass to Ullswater. Altogether everything you need for a perfect holiday. Jack & Friends.
